Former Emmerdale star Natalie Anderson has landed a new role in another soap.
The actor is famous for playing Alicia Metcalfe in the rural ITV soap between 2010 and 2015, as well as Lexi Calder in Hollyoaks in 2021.
As of next week, she’ll be appearing in Coronation Street in Todd Grimshaw’s new storyline.
Todd has started a new romance with scaffolder Theo Silverton, although Theo is a bit hesitant to commit and won’t say why.
Anderson will appear in next week’s episodes as new character Danielle, who has some previous link with Theo that will see the storyline take an unexpected twist.

James Cartwright, who plays Theo – and previously worked with Todd actor Gareth Pierce on a long-running radio show – said of his character: “I think Theo is a good guy, he comes in with the best of intentions, as most people do, but he may upset some people with his behaviour.”
Could he cause Todd, who has already admitted to feeling fed up and burnt out by the dating world, even more upset once Danielle turns up on the scene?

Meanwhile, Sue Cleaver revealed that she filmed her last scenes as Todd’s mum, Eileen, on Friday. She described her final date and the cast meal they had to celebrate as “so emotional”, and that she had some quite graphic dreams for the entire week leading up to it.
