Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale has teased a surprising new alliance for Jacob Gallagher following Sarah Sugden’s arrest.
Jacob called off his relationship with Sarah after the death of his mum Leyla Harding following the ITV soap’s limo crash stunt.
Since then, Sarah has been growing closer to Kammy Hadiq who arrived in the Dales last month.
Her rebellious streak has continued to escalate, with Sarah set to face legal repercussions thanks to Jacob in upcoming episodes.
Sarah is arrested by PC Swirling after she is caught driving Cain Dingle’s stolen car, a crime she committed with Kammy while he works a trial period at the garage.

Jacob tipped off the police only believing Kammy was involved, and was left mortified to find he had gotten Sarah into trouble with the law.
In upcoming scenes next week, Charity Dingle is set to realise that it was Jacob who called the police targeting Kammy.
She suggests they should team up to bring Kammy down after previously investigating the village newcomer as he began dating her granddaughter.
Will Jacob be interested in joining forces with Charity to drive away his love rival? It seems likely as later in the week, his awkwardness grows when he catches Sarah during an intimate afternoon with Kammy.

Speaking about Kammy’s relationship with Sarah and Charity’s suspicions, Sarah actor Katie Hill told Digital Spy and other press: “Charity is definitely suspicious of Kammy at the start. She’s thinking, ‘who is he?’ Then spending a lot of time with him and becomes a bit distant from Charity.
“So Charity wants to find out more about Kammy and do a bit of digging. I think she’s trying to find something bad out about him because she really likes Jacob and wants Sarah to be with a sensible boy instead, but I don’t know if Sarah’s got different plans to that.”
Elsewhere in the soap, Jacob is set to experience a medical emergency when he collapses under strange circumstances.
John Sugden rushes to the rescue, but given his shady past, could it be that he had more to do with the drama than first meets the eye?
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
